Please find some pictures that I took whilst my masts were on the boatduring our trip through the French river and canal system. I arranged for the masts to be put ashore and sent by road after the first 3 weeks as they became a little difficult and as we had (not that we intended to) change the engine whilst in France. It's a very long story but we had originally intended to transport the masts by road but due to a French holiday had to go to a different destination and load them onto the boat. As we hadn't prepared for this I had to scout around and acquire timber to make frames. I made a support at the bows and stern fixed to the push pit and pulpit rails by timber clamps and cable ties also a support at the mast step. These were dictated by the timber available but I managed to find enough  100 x 50 and braces made from 50 x 25. The centre support was from a chunk of 100 x 100 with a cross support at the top as that was all that was available. I managed to locate a few bits of carpet to put under the timbers which stopped any scratches.
